The archaeologists of Team REX-T
will guide you on an exciting journey into the depths of the Earth
in the FIRST LEGO League 2026 competition.
This year’s theme is UNEARTHED.
Through our robot model, we want to tell the story of the ancient Cổ Loa Citadel
and inspire others with the connection between history and technology.
The Legend of Magic crossbow
Long ago, there was a king named An Duong Vuong. He built a strong kingdom called Au Lac. He had a magic crossbow. This crossbow was very powerful. It could defeat all enemies.
The magic crossbow was made with the help of a golden turtle. The turtle gave the king a special claw to make the weapon. Thanks to this, no one could attack his land.
A nearby king named Trieu Da wanted to take Au Lac. But he could not win because of the magic crossbow. So he made a plan.
Trieu Da sent his son, Trong Thuy, to marry the king’s daughter, My Chau. My Chau was kind and trusted her husband very much. After they got married, Trong Thuy asked her about the magic crossbow.
Because she loved him, My Chau showed him the secret. Trong Thuy secretly stole the magic part of the crossbow and returned home.
Later, Trieu Da attacked again. This time, the crossbow did not work. The king lost the battle and ran away with My Chau.
While escaping, the golden turtle appeared again. It told the king that the enemy was inside his family. The king understood the truth. He was very sad and angry. He killed My Chau.
Before dying, My Chau prayed that if she was innocent, her blood would turn into pearls. After that, Trong Thuy came and found her dead. He was full of regret and sadness. In the end, he jumped into a well and died.
